January SPECIAL:  I have added some original Sasha doll clothing to my Etsy shop including some earlier pieces.  The link can be found here - once there, search "Sasha" within my shop and they will come up!

(SALE PENDING)  (Scroll down for two others for sale) Meet Clara.  She began as a 1970 Gregor with cut hair and badly oxidized features.  She has the earlier, smaller body and much darker skin tone, so I decided to do a "contrast" with her; using light colored clothing, a very light wig and blue eyes.  Her eyes are painted in a large, watery style, similar to younger Sasha studio dolls, making her face seem small and youthful looking.

Her wig is synthetic mohair and she wears a simple Sasha studio style seamstress-made dress with slip and bloomers.  She is in overall good condition and has been cleaned and restrung. As an early played with doll, she has a very shiny patina.
When I completed her, her delicate appearance reminded me of a ballerina, and this time of year, Clara seemed a perfect name for her.
These three will most likely be the last dolls for 2015 and will come signed with a certificate.   Her price is $360 and I may be contacted here about any of the three shown below.  If you scroll down you will find information about each one of them.
(SOLD) Meet Kai!  Kai's name means "sea" and he is a little brother to Talise, the little oyster gatherer, available below.

Kai has an anatomically correct boy's body and began as a 1970 baby boy with oxidized features.  He has been cleaned and restrung.  His features have been repainted in a watercolor free-style and sealed.  He has a soft synthetic mohair wig.
"Clara! Come and play in the sea with us! Don't worry about your dress!"

(His friend, Clara, and sister are also available for sale. ) He is wearing an adorable antique handmade outfit circa 1930's that I have had in my collection.   (His puppy is just a prop and is not included)   Kai is $215 and comes signed with a certificate.

(SOLD) Meet Talise.  Talise was inspired by the children who traditionally gathered oysters and clams on Chincoteague Island; the most memorable account of which was written about in Marguerite Henry's book "Misty of Chincoteague".  In the classic children's story, Paul and Maureen work by gathering oysters and raking  clams to help raise funds for the upcoming pony auction.

Talise means "lovely water".  She began as a 1980's Sasha.  Her features have been repainted in a free looking Sasha studio style, and sealed.  She has light freckles on her face. Her sun-bleached light red hair is in two careless pigtails.   Her wig is a Monique Gold in a brand new style; one I have never used before.  It has a full center part in the back for braids and when it is worn loose, it looks dry and windblown.
She wears clothing that has been stained and distressed looking to give a realistic appearance of a child working in the sand and dirt.  She comes with her metal bucket full of shells, including some conch shells gathered for her special collection.

Talise is a one of a kind, never to be exactly duplicated.   She comes signed with a certificate and with an original Sasha wrist tag.  I may be contacted here    As always, 10% of the sale price of this doll goes to helping real children through Compassion International.

(SALE PENDING) Not a custom doll, but an all original 1969 Sasha Frido girl with a full center part!
Head to toe:  She has been cleaned inside and out and restrung and I will include her original leg cord (her arms were off with no cord when she arrived here) which is white with blue and orange flecks.   She has no smoke, mold or other strange odors and is in played with and loved condition.  No ink or stain marks or missing features,  no falling hair, but she does have a bit of shininess  here and there.

Her lips have oxidized over the to a frosted with a tinge of greenish although not as much as some.  I think it's a very appealing look and is very common on these early dolls.  She is missing her wrist tag and pants, but retains her original gingham dress with all snaps intact, her undershirt which is a bit stretched and her shoes and socks.  Socks have age wear and a run in one of them.  Shoes have wear as well but they are her original, early Newey snap shoes.

Her hair was a shambles when she arrived, but it has been washed, conditioned and straightened so it is much smoother.  It is still a little rough feeling near the ends but not tangled and "frizzy" looking.  She has the very hard to find full rooted center part for ponytails, which was discontinued in 1969.

She is an adorable early, smaller and darker girl and would make a nice addition to any Sasha family!

(SALE PENDING) Meet "Liat"!

Liat began as a 1980's Gregor.  She has been given a Monique Gold wig in dark brown and her features repainted as a Sasha studio doll.
Her hair can be parted on the side or center.  It is wild but looks cute in a bow!
She wears a long, white studio style dress by Diane's Delights and Mary Janes on her feet.  She comes with her little porcelain doll.
She is a perfect doll to welcome in winter 2015!   Her name, of Hebrew origin, means "mine" or "you are mine".  Liat is $385 and comes foot-signed with a certificate.   I may be contacted here

(SOLD) Meet Honor!  Honor began as a Gregor and has been remade into a one of a kind studio style doll, representing a girl of the 1860's.  (Her name was chosen as one of the top 100 girl names in England and Wales for that year).

Honor has a synthetic mohair wig and her features have been repainted and sealed.  She has very slight cheek color that is very subtle.  Her dress is made by Diane's Delights and has a petticoat, and I added a long pair of bloomers and brown boots.  In Sasha Morgenthaler style, her eye color picks up the subtle greens in her dress.

Honor is a one of a kind and can never be exactly duplicated.

(SALE PENDING)  Ella Rose -- a new one of a kind Sasha girl for Autumn, 2015. She began as a 1969 Gregor with bad hair and much wear.  Fortunately, she has no ink or other problems.  She has been cleaned, restrung and remade as a new doll!

Ella's features have been handpainted and sealed (except her freckles!) and she wears an orange/mango colorful Fall schooldress. She resembles a little girl from the 1920's or 30's -but a simple white ribbon makes her dress look like it is earlier than that.
She has blue Mary Jane shoes.  Her wig is a brand new real fiber mohair wig by Kemper.  It is strong and well made and she has a messy, touseled look that belies her neat and clean dress!  I love using real mohair on custom Sashas - it is close to the human hair Sasha Morgenthaler used on her studio dolls and has a very natural, soft look!

Ella is $395 and comes signed with a certificate.  I may be contacted here   (UK shipping is $49 by Priority, US and Canada by zip code)

(SOLD) Meet Karianne!  She began as an earlier 1970 Gregor that was well loved. She has been cleaned and restrung.

Karianne has been repainted in a crude eye style, and she has a light brown synthetic mohair wig that can be parted different ways.  It is very cute braided, but I included photos of it down also.  Her dress is handmade and she wears a pair of vintage bloomers and black old-style boots.

Karianne is $350 and comes as shown.
